The rules and guidelines that govern your use of the AdwaTimes platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AdwaTimes (adwatimes.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, creators, and others who access or use AdwaTimes. "AdwaTimes", "we", "us", or "our" refers to AdwaTimes and its operators. "You" refers to the individual or entity accessing the platform.

Eligibility

To use AdwaTimes, you must:

  • –Be at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent.
  • –Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • –Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
  • –Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. AdwaTimes reserves the right to terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

Accounts & Registration

When you create an account on AdwaTimes, you agree to:

  • –Provide accurate and truthful registration information
  • –Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
  • –Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account at security@adwatimes.com
  • –Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You may not create an account using another person's identity, use a name that is offensive or violates third-party rights, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans.

AdwaTimes reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

Creator Content & Conduct

AdwaTimes is a platform for Ethiopian and diaspora creators. By uploading content, you represent that:

  • –You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to publish the content
  • –Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  • –Your content complies with all applicable laws, including Ethiopian law and international copyright law

**Prohibited content includes:**

  • –Content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or incites violence
  • –Sexually explicit content involving minors (strictly prohibited and reported to authorities)
  • –Content that promotes terrorism, hate speech, or discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation
  • –Spam, misleading metadata, or artificially inflated engagement
  • –Content that violates the privacy of others without consent
  • –Unauthorized use of copyrighted material

AdwaTimes reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice. Repeated violations will result in permanent account termination.

Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of the content you upload to AdwaTimes. By publishing content on the platform, you grant AdwaTimes a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, distribute, and promote your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

AdwaTimes platform: The AdwaTimes platform, including its design, software, trademarks, logos, and all original content created by AdwaTimes, is the exclusive property of AdwaTimes and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to AdwaTimes may be used by us without compensation or attribution to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the AdwaTimes platform or its underlying software without our express written permission.

Monetization & Payments

AdwaTimes offers monetization features including Tips, Channel Subscriptions, and the Ad Revenue Program. By participating in monetization:

  • –You agree to our Creator Monetization Policy and payment terms
  • –Tips are enabled at 500 followers with no approval required
  • –Channel Subscriptions require a minimum of 1,000 subscribers
  • –Ad Revenue Program requires Platinum tier and 10,000+ subscribers
  • –Payouts are processed via CBE Birr, Telebirr, PayPal, or Wise based on your selection

**Payment terms:**

  • –Earnings are calculated monthly and paid within 30 days of the end of each month
  • –Minimum payout threshold: 500 ETB or equivalent
  • –AdwaTimes retains a platform fee as disclosed in your creator dashboard
  • –Taxes on earnings are the sole responsibility of the creator
  • –Fraudulent activity, including artificial inflation of views or tips, will result in forfeiture of earnings and account termination

AdwaTimes reserves the right to withhold payments pending investigation of suspected fraud or policy violations.

Platform Subscriptions

AdwaTimes offers Free, Gold, and Platinum subscription tiers for creators.

**Billing:**

  • –Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout
  • –Annual plans are billed upfront and are non-refundable after 14 days
  • –Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

**Refund policy:**

  • –Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months
  • –Annual subscriptions: Full refund within 14 days of purchase; pro-rated refund within 30 days; no refund after 30 days
  • –Refund requests must be submitted to billing@adwatimes.com

**Upgrades and downgrades:**

  • –Upgrades take effect immediately with pro-rated billing
  • –Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle
  • –Downgrading may result in loss of access to features exclusive to higher tiers

Privacy

Your use of AdwaTimes is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using AdwaTimes, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

AdwaTimes is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • –The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • –Any content on the platform is accurate, complete, or up to date
  • –The platform will meet your specific requirements

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AdwaTimes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of AdwaTimes shall not exceed the amount you paid to AdwaTimes in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

AdwaTimes may suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately.

Grounds for termination include but are not limited to:

  • –Violation of these Terms of Service
  • –Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • –Prolonged inactivity (accounts inactive for 24+ months)
  • –At our sole discretion for any reason

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. You may request a copy of your data within 30 days of termination. After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@adwatimes.com or through your account settings.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of AdwaTimes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the rules of the Ethiopian Arbitration and Conciliation Center.

Nothing in this section prevents AdwaTimes from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

Changes to Terms

AdwaTimes reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • –Post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date
  • –Send an email notification to registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect
  • –Display a prominent notice on the platform

Your continued use of AdwaTimes after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the platform and may request account deletion.
